Surfing at Waitpinga Beach
Walk or take the famous horse tram (download a brochure)over the causeway to Granite
Island. Walk around the island and enjoy the scenery, dolphins, seals and in winter
the occasional Southern Right Whale.
The Bluff ( Rosetta Head)
On the southwestern site of Encounter Bay you can enjoy a walk around the Bluff with
views along the magnificent coastline. See the occasional dolphins, seals or whales
and top up your history knowledge on the Heritage Trail along the beautiful coastline.
Deep Creek Conservation Park is located 50 km west of Victor Harbor on the road to
Kangaroo Island. The park provides several scenic and sometimes challenging bushwalks.
The famous Heysen Trail is passing through this park. It is also home to Western
Great Kangaroos, Echidnas and Bandicoots.
Bike all the way from Encounter Bay via Victor Harbor, the coastal towns of Port
Elliot and Middleton to Goolwa along the Coastal Bikeway. The total distance is 30
km, but you can choose your own distance according to levels of fitness.
